![]() Told from the POVs of three different characters, all the plotlines still came together beautifully, and I loved travelling with them from beginning to end. Then we hit the prologue again, and off we went on an amazing fantasy adventure. Winter’s Child had a very intriguing opening: a sort of prologue that started at the end of the beginning, before the story backtracked to tell the origins of the three mains. When Grace discovers Kai is gone, she learns how much she has lost and sets out on a mystical journey to find Kai… and discover herself. Grace yearn for freedom and slowly begins to push Kai–and their friendship–awayĭejected Kai dreams of a dazzling Snow Queen, who entices him to leave home and wander to faraway lands. But when they turn sixteen and Kai declares his love for Grace, everything changes. They grew up together, listening to magical tales spun by Grace’s grandmother and sharing in each other’s secrets. ![]() Winter’s Child is still amazing.įree-spirited Grace and serious Kai are the best of friends.
